China’s CPI Up 1.4% y/y in March

China’s CPI was up 1.4% y/y in March 2015, the National Bureau of Statistics reported on April 10. In March, the price of food was up 2.3% y/y. In detail, the grain price was up 2.7% y/y; the price of food oil was down 5.0 % y/y; the price of meat, poultry and their downstream products was up 3.2% y/y; the egg price was up 5.6% y/y; the aquatic products price was up 1.6 y/y; the vegetable price was up 0.4% y/y; the fruit price was up 6.7 y/y; and the price of liquid milk and milk products was down 1.2% y/y.
