In 2015, China produced 76.27 million tons of fertilizer (nutrients, same below), up 7.3% y/y, according to the NBS. More specifically, the country’s 2015 nitrogen fertilizer output was 49.438 million tons (up 6.3% y/y), of which 34.465 million tons was urea (up 7.6% y/y); phosphate fertilizer, 20.264 million tons, up 11.4% y/y; and potash fertilizer, 6.119 million tons, up 8.23% y/y.
China produced 57.914 million tons of ammonia in 2015, up 1.84% y/y.
